The fit is excellent. I used to use a cloth bag and this is so much better. Well, id does offer some protection, but.. It was extremely difficult to put on, it doesn't fit that well especially around the eyepiece. All of the stitching is beginning to unravel.. Very disappointing. Would try to find some other product next time. I believe someone makes a rubberized case like the ones for cell phones.
